F.A.Q.

With so many attendees this year, we have discovered some frequently asked questions.  We hope this information may help:

  • CAN I GET PODCASTS/DVDs/CDs OF 2008 CONFERENCE SESSIONS?

Many sessions will be made available as free podcasts; no DVDs or CDs will be sold, but you will find the free podcasts in the podcast section of this website or through ITunes.  We recommend checking back regularly or subscribing to automatic downloads.

Please allow time after the conference for staff to review the recordings for quality, etc., and prepare them for upload.  Also, please understand that while most sessions will be made available, some will not due to copyright issues or speaker contract agreements.   

  • HOW MANY PRE-CONFERENCE INTENSIVES CAN I ATTEND?

One.  If you choose to attend a Pre-Conference Intensive, you will begin that session on Monday afternoon.  It will then continue and conclude on Tuesday morning. 

  • HOW MANY TRACKS CAN I ATTEND?  CAN I "TRACK JUMP"?

You will choose one track to attend during the main conference, so please carefully consider and choose the track that best fits your needs. 

Due to the large growth of the conference this year, it is probable that multiple tracks will sell out.  We will, therefore, need to ask that you attend the track for which you register.  

"Track jumping" may be permitted if space allows but out of respect for all attendees, people who have registered for a track will be allowed first opportunity to fill the rooms.  If there is still room available after a session has started, others will then be allowed to join the session.

  • WILL THERE BE CHILD CARE AT THE CONFERENCE?

We're sorry, but no.  We realize that this may prevent some people from coming but for a variety of reasons the conference is simply unable to offer child care services nor can we offer a list of recommended child care providers in Orlando.

  • WILL THERE BE TRANSPORTATION OR SHUTTLE SERVICE AVAILABLE?

The conference is not equipped to provide shuttle services or transportation.  Unlike some conference venues, First Baptist Church Orlando offers a great deal of parking.  However, if you are looking for transportation to or from the airport, your hotel, and the conference site, we recommend checking with your hotel to see if either they offer that service or know of someone who does.

  • I NEED TO CANCEL MY REGISTRATION.  WHAT SHOULD I DO?

First, if you need to cancel a registration, know that we are truly sorry you will not be able to join us for The National New Church Conference / Exponential 2008.

Please remember that prior to March 1st, cancellations are subject to a $50 non-refundable administrative fee.  Beginning March 1st, registrations are fully non-refundable.  However, it is possible to substitute another attendee in an existing registration at no cost.  If you cannot attend and need to cancel your registration, it might be beneficial to see if someone else on your team, or in your network or organization has decided to attend, then contact the conference to request a substitution.  While we can process the registration changes, any payment reimbursements or arrangements would be solely between you and the new attendee.

  • I REALLY WANT TO NETWORK WITH PEOPLE.  CAN I FIND OUT WHO IS COMING?

Networking is one of the great benefits of attending the National New Church Conference.  Due to our privacy policy, we cannot provide attendees' personal or church information.  There will be many opportunities for networking during the conference, though.
